John Ermi has been a proud resident of Las Vegas for since 1975, graduating from the home of the Sun Devils, El Dorado High School.  He has been in facilities and construction management for more than twenty years and is a graduate of the operating engineer’s apprenticeship program, to which he returned as an instructor. John holds multiple degrees including a Masters in Technology Management. He has worked in several industries including construction project management, government facilities, health care facilities, on and off strip resort properties, and is currently Chief Engineer at the Las Vegas Hilton.

John is a devoted family man, his motivations being his wife Tiffany and their daughters Shelby 13, Emily 8, and Ashley 7. In his words, “They are the reason and inspiration for everything I do. Nothing else in the world matters more than family."



Robert Jones is the Director of Engineering for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). His areas of responsibility include the Las Vegas Convention Center which encompasses 3.5 million square feet under one roof in addition to 483,000 square feet at Cashman Center, as well as the outlying Visitor Information Centers located in Boulder City, Laughlin, Mesquite and Primm. Robert is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of Engineering Operations for the LVCVA in Maintenance and Systems disciplines, prepares the annual budget for the division and manages the assigned budget. Robert has been instrumental in bringing Green initiatives to the Authority, continually seeking new ways to improve sustainability and bring cost saving proposals to the forefront.

Prior to working for the LVCVA, Robert was employed by Clark County for 10 years, responsible for Department of Juvenile Justice Services (DJJS), as well as for the Regional Justice center which is the largest justice facility in Southern Nevada.



Nasrin Houston is an Industrial Gas Engineer for Southwest Gas Corporation.  She has been with Southwest for eleven years starting her career as a Design Engineer in Arizona.  Nasrin has been involved in the design of natural gas facilities for major properties on the Las Vegas strip such as the Wynn Resort. In her current position Nasrin manages natural gas key accounts in Southern Nevada and Southern California working closely with facility managers to provide energy, mechanical, environmental and other engineering support services. Nasrin holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University and is a Certified Energy Manager.  Prior to Southwest Gas she has worked at United Parcel Service and Intel Corporation as an engineer.  She is extremely pleased and honored to be a member of the NPFMA Board.



Peter Ricciardo is the Vice-President of Facilities and Construction Operations for The Las Vegas Hilton, and has an extensive background in property operations.  Peter was born in Rochester New York, to Rocco and Enes Ricciardo.  He is the youngest of five sons.  The family moved to Las Vegas in 1974 where he graduated from Clark High School.  As a young adult, Peter was accepted into Local 501’s Operating Engineer Apprenticeship Program.  Peter worked in the gaming industry for 16 years before moving on to local Government and then back to the Hotels.  Peter was previously employed by Clark County and was supervising HVAC, Plumbing, and the overhead door crews maintaining 655 buildings that encompass all of Clark County from Overton to Laughlin and the Greater Las Vegas area.  Peter’s other responsibilities include being the Maintenance Supervisor for Juvenile Detention, Child Haven, Family Courts, Spring Mountain Youth Camp and five local community centers.  In his spare time Peter has participated in Men’s Hockey, Men’s softball Leagues and likes to spend time on his boat with his family at Lake Mead.  He also enjoys wake boarding, skiing and his newest hobby, carve boarding. 



Jim has been an active member of the Nevada Professional Facility Managers Association since 2004. He has been an active member of the organization and in 2008 served as the Assistant Golf Chair Person. In 2009 he was the Golf Chair Person and in 2010, he served as the Golf Co-Chair Person. He has served on the Board as the Membership Chair Person since 2009. He is extremely committed to the organization and is always looking for a way to serve. He is now an Account Manager for Southland Industries and has been in the HVAC and Plumbing industries for 30 years. He brings a wealth of experience to our organization as well as enthusiastic energy to the promotion of the NPFMA.



Matthew Zaniewski is a native resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, graduating from Bonanza High School, then from UNLV with a BSBA degree in Financial Services.  He has been on the NPFMA board for 3 years and is also involved in IFMA-Sustainability, USGBC and NALMCO associations. Matthew has been in the electrical industry for over 10 years and with Blanchard Associates for nearly 4 of them, focusing on developing the national manufacture representative firm and its Energy Division. Within this tenure, he was made a Principal in the agency and continues to grow the southwest area in the states of Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado and Hawaii. He also proudly served in the military as a Chemical Operations specialist for 6 years in the Army Reserve.



Mark has been a Las Vegas resident his entire life.  His family moved away from Stockton, CA (his birthplace), when he was less than a year old.  He graduated from Western H.S. in 1978 and went on scholarship to run track for Northern Arizona University. 

Once Mark returned home he spent 12 years working for the Local 416 as an ironworker.  In 1990 he joined up with his in-laws, the Lehmans, helping to run and manage SST Towing.  Steamatic Total Cleaning and Restoration’s Las Vegas branch was opened by Mark and Ken Lehman in 2001.

Mark is an extremely active member of the Las Vegas business community.  He is a board member for the Nevada Professional Facility Managers Association and a board member for the Las Vegas High Rise and Condo Association.  He is a proud member of the Las Vegas Executive’s Association. 

Mark is a true family man, spending as much time as possible with his wife of 27 years, Debra, and his two children, Jeremy and Chloe.  His father, mother, and two sisters are also Las Vegas residents.  Mark is a competitive cyclist (both road and mountain), and a competitive golfer. 



Travis West is the Vice President of Operations for Britim Construction, a locally owned minority General Contractor. In this role, Travis provides financial oversight for the company’s day to day operations, cash flow management, negotiations, contracting, business development and risk assessment. 

Prior to his current position, Travis was AVP Credit Administrator for a bank holding company where he was charged with management of credit administration and assessing and reporting of a $2.5 billion dollar loan portfolio.

Travis has his Bachelors of Science in corporate finance with a minor in management.



Michelle Shetrom is the Sales Administrator for Commercial Roofers, Inc., the largest, most experienced Roofing Contractor in the Las Vegas Valley, providing new construction, re-roof, waterproofing and 24 hour maintenance/repair for commercial projects. Our customer base is comprised of quality-conscious people that want an excellent job completed on budget. Repeat clientele accounts for 95% of our business with a 99% certified approval rating. Helping to maintain this type of service, Shetrom is responsible for spearheading sales and marketing efforts for Commercial Roofers, Inc., including tracking current projects bidding, and the bid outcomes. She is also responsible for maintaining client’s relationships and monitoring new contract bids and proposals. She has been active in the Las Vegas market since moving from Pennsylvania in 2007. Shetrom is a member of the following organizations, Building Owner Management Association (BOMA), International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Nevada Professional Facility management Association (NPFMA), Associated General Contractors (AGC), National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), National Association Industrial Office Properties (NAIOP), Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, and also the National Roofing Contractor Association (NRCA) and also Vegas Young Professions. Shetrom is actively involved in the community and donates her time to several non-profit organizations.
