Peter Ricciardo is the Vice-President of Facilities and construction Operations for The Las Vegas Hilton, and has an extensive background in property operations. Peter is in his second term as President of NPFMA and has been a part of the many advances that the organization has made over the last 44 months.
Peter was born in Rochester New York, to Rocco and Enes Ricciardo. He is the youngest of five sons. The family moved to Las Vegas in 1974,Peter attended both junior and senior high school in Las Vegas, Peter graduated from Clark High School.
As a young adult, Peter was accepted into Local 501’s Operating Engineer Apprenticeship Program. Peter worked in the gaming industry for 16 years, before moving on to local Government for 10 years, and then decided to return into the gaming business again in 2008.
Peter has his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Peter is on the Executive Board for Operating Engineers Local 501 Apprenticeship Board. Peter is a contractor in the state of Nevada and is the Qualified employee for the Las Vegas Hilton. In his spare time, Peter has participated in many community functions and enjoys Men’s Hockey, Men’s softball Leagues and likes to spend time on his boat with his family at Lake Mead.


Nasrin Houston is an Industrial Gas Engineer for Southwest Gas Corporation. She has been with Southwest for ten years starting her career as a Design Engineer in Arizona. Nasrin has been involved in the design of natural gas facilities for major properties on the Las Vegas strip, including designing gas facilities for the Wynn Resort. In her current position Nasrin manages natural gas key accounts in Southern Nevada and Southern California working closely with facility managers to provide Energy, Mechanical, Environmental and other Engineering support services. Nasrin holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University along with several engineering and natural gas equipment certificates. Prior to Southwest Gas she has worked at United Parcel Service and Intel Corporation as an engineer. She is extremely pleased and honored to be a member of the NPFMA Board.

Matthew Zaniewski is a native resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, graduating from Bonanza High School, then from UNLV with a BSBA degree in Financial Services. He has been on the NPFMA board for 3 years and is also involved in IFMA-Sustainability, USGBC and NALMCO associations. Matthew has been in the electrical industry for over 10 years and with Blanchard Associates for nearly 4 of them, focusing on developing the national manufacture representative firm and its Energy Division. Within this tenure, he was made a Principal in the agency and continues to grow the southwest area in the states of Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado and Hawaii. He also proudly served in the military as a Chemical Operations specialist for 6 years in the Army Reserve.

Anthony is currently committed the MGM/Mirage family. He is the Vice President of Property of Operations at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. Anthony oversees all engineering operations including compliance and construction. Anthony is an Executive Committee member at the property level, while also serving on the MGM/Mirage Corporate Energy and Environmental Council. As a member of both groups, Anthony provides direction to the overall operations and strategic planning of both the property and corporate initiatives.
Prior to Excalibur Anthony was the Corporate Director of Facilities for American Casinos and Entertainment Properties where he provided oversight for the facilities departments in both the Laughlin, and Las Vegas area. Anthony was with the organization for five years. Prior to that he was Chief Engineer, then Director of Facilities at the Castaways Hotel and Casino.
He has diverse and extensive engineering experience which began when he was an electrician, and switchboard operator in the U.S. Navy. He has served on board the USS Hewitt, and USS Merrill, both DD class Destroyers. Anthony also has received the South West Asia Service Medal for his tour in Operation Desert Storm. Since his honorable discharge Anthony has worked as an operating and maintenance engineer for several industries, including laundry, private high-rise, and the Las Vegas strip hotels. Anthony has climbed up the ranks after working in almost every aspect of the industry. His department credo is: "There’s no such thing as we can’t and no is not an option!" He is motivated by achievements and results, and attains them by adept planning and attention to detail.
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and an array of engineering licenses and certifications. Anthony is very proud of the NPFMA and believes the organization creates a very large chain of professional facility managers and there is no weak link.

Kent Miller, FMP, has been with The Groundskeeper for 22 years. Kent is a member of the four person senior management team that leads this $40 million a year company. The Groundskeeper is a full-service landscape management firm that employees over 750 landscape professionals throughout Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico.
Kent is a past president of the Arizona Landscape Contractors Association, the Greater Phoenix chapter of International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and the Southern Arizona Chapter of IFMA. He co-founded the Presidents Group in Phoenix. Kent is a committee chair for the Nevada Chapter of IFMA and currently serves as the Southwestern Regional Liaison for the IFMA Foundation. Kent received his Facility Management Professional designation (FMP) from IFMA in 2006.
The Arizona Landscape Contractors Association presented Kent with a lifetime achievement award in 2002. He was recognized as the Associate of the Year for IFMA at the 2005 world conference in Philadelphia for his outstanding contributions to the Facility Management profession. Kent was named the 2005 Professional of the Year by the Southwest Tree and Turf, a publication dedicated to education and professionalism in the arid Southwest.


Mark has been a Las Vegas resident his entire life. His family moved away from Stockton, CA (his birthplace), when he was less than a year old. He graduated from Western H.S. in 1978 and went on scholarship to run track for Northern Arizona University.
Once Mark returned home he spent 12 years working for the Local 416 as an ironworker. In 1990 he joined up with his in-laws, the Lehmans, helping to run and manage SST Towing. Steamatic Total Cleaning and Restoration’s Las Vegas branch was opened by Mark and Ken Lehman in 2001.
Mark is an extremely active member of the Las Vegas business community. He is a board member for the Nevada Professional Facility Managers Association and a board member for the Las Vegas High Rise and Condo Association. He is a proud member of the Las Vegas Executive’s Association.
Mark is a true family man, spending as much time as possible with his wife of 27 years, Debra, and his two children, Jeremy and Chloe. His father, mother, and two sisters are also Las Vegas residents. Mark is a competitive cyclist (both road and mountain), and a competitive golfer.

Travis West is the Vice President of Operations for Britim Construction, a locally owned minority General Contractor. In this role, Travis provides financial oversight for the company’s day to day operations, cash flow management, negotiations, contracting, business development and risk assessment.
Prior to his current position, Travis was AVP Credit Administrator for a bank holding company where he was charged with management of credit administration and assessing and reporting of a $2.5 billion dollar loan portfolio.
Travis has his Bachelors of Science in corporate finance with a minor in management. |
